| 1. Print
stamp copy on vellum. Secure clear acetate film over
the vellum. |
2. Place vellum on
glass of flash unit. Copy should be right reading. |
3. Place porous foam
over vellum and position in alignment box. Note: there
are two sides to the foam. |
 |
 |
 |
| 4. Place pressing plate
over stamp die. The pressing plate has two bearers
to insure proper pressure when flashing. Bearers must
face down. |
5. Lower lid of flash
unit, Grab bar with both hands and pull down in a steady,
even motion. Release handle following the burst of
light. |
6. Remove the stamp
and peel die from the clear film. |
 |
 |
 |
| 7. Components necessary for product
assembly. |
8. Remove the trim ring from mount.
Place "flashed" porous foam die into trim ring (impression
facing down). |
9. Massage the
bag before removing ink cartridge to ensure even ink
distribution. |
 |
 |
 |
| 10. IMPORTANT:
Cut the ink bag on two sides and peel back the edges
for easy removal. If excess ink is visible on the edges,
wipe all edges on paper. |
11. Place the
ink cartridge on top of porous foam. Allow excess ink
to dissipate from top of ink cartridge before completing
assembly (suggested time for soft foam is 10-15 minutes). |
12. WIth the mount
in the palm of your hand, pull up on the outside of
the mount with your thumb and middle finger so the
inside and outside of the mount are flush. |
 |
 |
 |
| 13. Position the
mount at a 45 degree angle over the trim ring. Slide
the trim ring into the mount and press down to snap
into place. |
14. Turn the mount
over. Press down and in on trim ring where clips snap
into the mount to ensure trim ring is secure. NOTE:
Larger mount sizes require more pressure to secure
trim rings. |
15. Press down
on the mount as if you are making an impression to
further ink migration. Turn mount so impression side
is facing up during the inking process. |
 |
|
|
| 16. After ink
migration, make label. Place label on top of handle
and snap in clear lens cover. Stamp is complete.
